		In a sea of “tail-less” dogs, Jim is our solo “tail”. Keeping with our love of herding breeds, Jim is an Australian Kelpie. He presents a wonderful contrast to our aussies and offers a different style to experiment with. Ken has trialed him in sheepdog trials where he competed primarily against Border Collies. These trials differ greatly from ASCA® trials in that the course is laid out in a large acreage field and most of the work is done a great distance away from the handler. Amy trialed Jim in ASCA® trials and obtained his started sheep and duck titles in one weekend, including a score of 97 out of 100 in Started Ducks. Jim also assists in Ken’s stockdog lessons by keeping the sheep gathered for young, inexperienced dogs.
